Share your story

Storytelling is one of the greatest tools we have to change the narrative on LGBTIQA+SB suicide.

We want to share stories from LGBTIQA+SB people with lived experiences of suicide, our friends, families and allies, to demonstrate the strength of our communities, and what LGBTIQA+SB affirming care looks like.

    • have experienced suicidal thoughts or behaviours

    • have accessed suicide prevention care for themselves

    • have helped a loved one access suicide prevention care

    • have lost a loved one to suicide

    • have accessed support as someone caring for an LGBTIQA+SB person through experiences of suicidal distress, or as someone who has lost someone to suicide.

Become a sector champion

We know it can sometimes be challenging being an LGBTIQA+SB person working in a non-LGBTIQA+SB health organisation. We know this becomes especially challenging when LGBTIQA+SB people are asked to shoulder the burden of developing inclusive policies, planning LGBTIQA+SB-related events, or advocating for better internal treatment.

We want to link you in with a network of other LGBTIQA+SB people in the health sector to connect and build solidarity.

  • When you become a Sector Champion, you will receive:

    Changing the Landscape collateral, including:

    • A campaign t-shirt

    • A sticker / flyer pack

    • A campaign logo pin

    Access to capacity building resources, including:

    • Sector Champions Community of Practice

    • Strategic organisational advocacy workshops.

    Support and guidance, including:

    • Access to our campaign Discord, where you can discuss advocacy strategies with your fellow Sector Champions

    • Support to get your organisation to sign the Changing the Landscape Statement

    • Social media and moderation resources for your organisation if sharing the campaign on social media.
